Is this Lavender a little off colour?

Well from the same clutch as my late lavender bloodred hatched from, this lovely little lavender also made its debut in this world. The parents are Normal, het charcoal, lavender, amel, and bloodred x same...my first quad het pairing. When this little one hatched at the same time as my lav blood, I didn't pay much attention to it because of my excitement over the sibling. He/she began to have all my attention focused on him with the demise of the lav blood. First shed occurred the other day so I thought I'd snap some pictures.

While getting him/her ready for the photo shoot I couldn't help but notice it was a little odd in colouration from lavenders hatchlings I have had before.

The first thing that struck me while prepping its first shed picture for my records was the odd two tone colouration. I also noted and zoomed in on what appeared to me to be some black pigmentation around the saddles, jagged but noticeable to my eye even in real life not just with the camera lens.

Do the eyes appear darker to you than normal lavender eyes? And what about that nice blue eyebrow similar to what we have all come to know as distinctive charcoal/pewter markings?

Here's a sibling charcoal picture, again the blue cast to the eyebrow area.

It was here that I began to ask myself some questions. Now I'll be the first one to admit that maybe, just maybe I'm seeing more in this than meets the eye or am I? That's why I'm bringing it here. I'd like to hear opinions...Do you see something unusual or is this just the variations that lavender morph can present with?

He/she (unsexed as yet) is a keeper anyways. I just might have to test this one in years to come. I've never seen a charcoal lavender before so I have no idea what they should look like period.

All comments and observations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Ruth

He/she is AWESOME!!!

Definitely not normal lavender colouring to my mind...lol Nor is it classic ghost blood...

I would GUESS that its maybe a charcoal lavender? lol

Only one way to know for sure, spend HOURS, DAYS, MONTHS, YEARS wondering until he/she is big enough to do test breedings! lol

charcoal lavender

Well the ones I think I hatched have really dark black big eyes, but I dont know if they are even charcoal lavs.Do you have a better picture of the charcoal from the clutch cause from that one that dont look like the charcoal I produced the ones I produced this year are dark black on dark black :shrugs:
