We got tixy 2 weeks ago now and shes been fine, untill about 2-3 days ago when she started acting different, we're not sure if shes starting the shedding process or not. shes become very slow moving and crawling like a catipillar rather than slithering, but not all the time just every so often, her skin has gone slightly dull and she feels leathery but her eyes havn't gone milky/blue at all....

we are abit concerned but maybe this is normal, or shedding?

She sounds like she's going to shed soon. I'd expect her eyes to cloud over within the next few days, and the day before she shed she'll probably clear up almost completely.

Just make sure she has a water dish in there she can slither around in if needed. I found my snakes love having this when they are ready to shed, one even goes as far as to tip her water dish over and crawl in and out of the wet bedding.

thanks very much, i'll let you know if she sheds soon or ask again if she doesnt... the guy in the pet store said she is due to shed any time now so i'll let you know.

Welcome to the hobby! You may want to give Tixy a moist hide, which can be as simple as some damp paper towels in a plastic tub. If you have sphaghum moss (sometimes called orchid moss in gardening stores) it makes a lovely moist hide. If Tixy is a light color like an amel or a snow, you might have a harder time noticing the color changes before a shed until you've had her for a while.
