Is this normal?

I'm guessing there's no major problem as my 20" corn has been like this since i got him 5months or so back but when u touch him he's REALLY cold, he's at 85 like my hatchling who is warm to the touch and they're not under a window and have a UV light near them to control daylight length (they started trying to brumate)

Is this all normal and cool though?

Rach

Hi Rachel,

I'm a total newbie but if he were my animal I would ask myself the following questions:

1) Does he utilize both the warm and cold side of his viv?

2) Does his fecal matter look nornal and/or has it changed?

3) Is he eating regulary?

I'm guessing that number one and two are most important. As long as he's regulating his temp he should be okay. If he's always on the warm side and feels cold to the touch I might be converned about my viv temp.

Cheers,
Jason

Just like people, some snakes like it cooler than others. So long as he is able to digest his food properly, he is fine, and there nothing about which to worry yourself.

Have fun with them!

HI Rachel
Corns need 28c - 30c on the warm side of the tank.
Our bodies are about 37c, so realy your snakes should feel cooler.
