Kiss My Hearse
...waiting for eggs to hatch. We're on day 64 at 82 degrees. The first baby this year went 77 days at about 79/80 degrees. I'm hoping a little higher temp will get these guys out sooner! There's no sign of dimpling, but the eggs have gotten very soft to the touch. I've noticed that with my other eggs before. They hardly dimple, but they get kinda soft, like poking a waterbed mattress with your finger (not that I'm poking at them all the time, I did it today when I was candling because the little flashlight sank in a bit so I checked the egg). It's usually a few days after that when I see pips. And they typically make me look silly by pipping right after I've posted about how long they're taking. Do you hear that pippies?? I'm whining, now start pipping!!

Make you look silly?

The day I posted a thread about cutting the eggs, the little punks poked their heads out.
