So, I met my GF about a year. At the time, I had just liquidated all my corns and kings I had, plus the boas. Leaving me with just one snake, my normal BP who I just couldn't part with. Upon her seeing my snake for the first time, I was told she was deathly afraid of all snakes and didn't understand why someone would want one. Not looking so good.. Fast forward a year, we're living together, and well.. I want more snakes. So I've spent quite a bit of time educating her on snakes, showing her they're not all evil, trying to get her to appreciate them etc etc.. Yesterday we went to the Raleigh expo, where she not only looked at snakes and talked about how "cool" or "pretty" they were but she actually held a fairly large BCI and a few corns! I'm still shooting myself for not having the camera with me.. Anyhow, she also claims to have "fell in love with an amel" according to her later FB update and has decided she wants to have some corns! YES! So today, I set my racks back up and got a little room together at the house..while we were working I snapped this.. Seriously, a year ago she would have ran through the door to get away had this guy been out of his cage.. This is monumental.. Just had to post the pic and share my story/elation..

See, now that's what being a reptile owner is all about! Converting others to the dark side!

Congrats! I think my BP is as likely as anyone here to turn my husband from a tolerant but not really caring much for snakes kinda guy, to a "hey! THIS one is nice!" kinda guy. It's obviously a BP kinda thing :).
