Jpg??

It is probably one of two things:

1. Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 160 by 160 pixels or 97.7 KB (whichever is smaller). The pixel size is right, but could the file size be wrong?

2. Are you trying to link to the image, or uploading it? I believe it has to be uploaded and not linked to.

I'm trying to upload the image. I have never had trouble with this on other forums. I'm not sure of the file size....where do I look to see that?

The file size is only 13-16 kb, so plenty small enough. Try uploading directly from your computer instead of from the internet . . . ?

I tried that, but it is just a tad to big on my computer, so I had to resize it in Photobucket. Any other suggestions?
 
Okay, well I resized it on my computer twice and it says that it's still to big. On my computer it says my pic is 6 MB. Is that too big?

6 mb is HUGE. Your avatar has to be between those sizes that Drizzt80 listed in kilobytes. Download irfanview here : http://www.irfanview.com/ and use it to resize your pictures until they're small enough. You're going to have to change the pixel size from whatever your camera takes pictures in, down to the avatar size. When you go to save, you cannot save on maximum settings, either. You're going to need to drop that down to cut off some size from the picture.

And lastly, you cannot have your avatar hosted from photobucket. It needs to be uploaded directly from your computer.

Then right-click on the picture and select "Save Picture As" and save it on your computer as a jpg.

Then in your control panel where you change your avatar, upload that file you just saved using the "browse..." button.

Thanks for the help guys, but I think I'm just going to skip it. :rolleyes: It doesn't matter all that much to me anyway. I appreciate all the help!!:D
