Just a Bloodred?

I'm not so sure about this one. Based on some odd bleaching of the bands that the adult male has, I had posted up some photos of him and solicited some opinions last season. I think Don Soderberg replied that it was something a little different then what he has seen. I bred the female to opals last season and the male I bred to motleys and other females. This season I bred them together. Based on last years results(and what the original breeder)I know they are both het for amel. When this baby pipped and hatched out I said, cool....an amel bloodred but when a real amel blood popped his head out and I saw them side by side I said to myself......wait a minute, thats not an amel. I'll get some photos of them as they hatch out. I'll also find some of the adult male. Thanks for looking.

Hypo, but . . .

What's unusual to me is the amount of gray on it. Rich has bred many more of the hypo bloods than I, but since we're not used to seeing that much black margin around the markings on non hypo bloods with head patterns like that, it's not common to me to see that much gray. I suspect it'll lose lots (if not all) of that gray at maturity. Rich would know more about it. Good looking serpent.

Oops

Wrote that before I saw the adult image. Beautiful. Are the shed skins clear like an albino? Of course, it's hypo, but I'm curious about the sheds.

i dont know mike...we have spoke about the coloration of that male and i am a bit curious myself to know what is going on with his bleaching effect by the saddles. it really is so distinct that i feel, as i am sure you do yourself that something wierd is going on. ther really is no way to know for sure right now, but i mean look at that hatchling...that isn't THAT normal looking to me.
