Just a quick question

Hey I have 2 4 month (25ish grams)olds and my mom is the director of a preschool (5 year olds) and I just wanted to know when I should bring them and my 7 year beardy for a reptile presentation
Note:The kids will not be touching the snakes or my beardy.

ummm well I dont think there would be anything wrong with now but they might enjoy it more if the snakes were bigger

yea properly but I,m just not sure how big and or old they should be .(to bad I don't have have a 8 ft boa or python)

Just make sure its not for too long & they don't hold them. If they were older, maybe. But when they're little, they're more skiddish & stressed. Just my opinion...

yea I would only even consider letting them touch the snakes if they were 1 year old and the class was mature (what am I thinking they'er 5 years old)

I first saw a Boa from a distance when I was 6 years old on a school outing. It fired my lifelong interest in reptiles.

In my experience, if you get their attention young, you never lose it!

Hmmmmm I'm sure their parents are going to love it when they hate reptiles(somehow)and there kid asks for a Burm...JK but thats awesome what happened to you. Hmmmmmm lets see by the time they concise their parents I'll probably be breeding so this could be great for me in the long run.

Just my two cents.... When I used to do nature programs, I used adult snakes. (That's what the nature center had.) They always went over well in part because they were sooo calm. Since young snakes tend to be more nervous and skittish, I'm not sure they're a great choice for a nature program for young kids where there will be a lot of noise and action (no matter how many times the kids are told to sit down and be quiet. :) ) If some of the kids are apprehensive about the snakes anyway, a calmer snake would make a better impression than a nervous, skittish snake that keeps trying to crawl up your sleeve....

I agree with this 100 percent!
