Just got a new corn snake

Opps you can place the pinky in a hot cup of water until it's warm and soft.
You can place it in a plastic sandwich bag or not ...your call, just dry it off if you don't use the bag.

Great, thanks. Its the third day I've had my snake now, first day she was pretty exploratory. Second day she was pretty much hiding all day, on the UTH running 3/4 power. And now its the third day and I believe she is still in her spot on the UTH. I know babies hide a lot, but is this ok? Its cold in my apartment, so I'm thinking shes all right on the uth.

Also, what is a normal growth rate per month, in inches for a snake that is about 17inches long?

I am thinking of feeding her on Sunday night, that will be the fifth day I've had her. After feeding how many days/hours should I wait to handle her?

Thanks guys!

Most baby corns will hide..its instinct. Hiding means surviving. As to handling after feeding...wait 48hrs before you handle her.
