We use a critter cage with a lock- I like knowing I can hear that "click" to be sure it's closed all the way.
With my DS (who has autism) the lock was the only way to go! Otherwise he would be helping himself to visiting Nitro all the time!
As a side note, for some reason the presence of the lock really chills snake phobic people out when they're at our house. I don't know why they think Nitro would want to sneak up on them:shrugs::shrugs:, but with the lock there they figure he can't do it and they stop worrying!
