here are some pics of my cute yet incredibly fiesty Macklot's aka Freckled Python, Kalypso.

He's a '08 baby about 1&1/2 - 2 ft long and full of it! There's not a day that goes by that the little monster doesn't have a go and strike at me, its makes giving him water or getting him out to hold or feed kinda of difficult but i love his attitude so it really doesn't bother me.

He is the type of snake who'll strike at you for looking at him funny, but yet once you have him out and hold him a couple minutes he's okay he calms down a bit.

anyway...please excuse some the glare in the pics it not my fault its his...he's fresh shed(as seen in pic 1) and is super shiny and my wimpy camera just can handle it and some the pics may seem repeditive..sorry i was doging strikes while taking pics. ignore the small size of pics photoucket hates me!

there you go hope you guys enjoy the pics of him. oh and just to point this out in the last few pics the red thing is the lid to his tub and i was using it as a block not to get him to get into strike pose.

*cries* sorry about the size photobucket was being crappy(probably cause of my comp though) and didn't use the right size selected so instead of large it made the pics small.

But yes he is a nice snake once he stops striking at you of course

Beautiful!! I love them...I came so close to getting an adult last week. They really are fiesty beasts, aren't they? It took me a full minute to get him out of his viv and he was just going crazy. After I finally got him out he was wonderful. I wanted to go back and get him, but another snake caught my eye recently and I purchased him instead. Can't wait to see them as they grow. One of my winter projects will be to make a viv with a larger water portion on one side.

Great, I'm looking forward to them. I've not heard of them being called the "freckled" python. I thought their other name was the asian water pyton?

regardless, it's the most awesomest of snakes, and I cant wait to watch him grow up!

The care sheets i've read on them listed Freckled python as one of their other common names along with asain water python.

He is indeed an awesome little snake and i can't wai for him to get bigger.
