King of the Hill

What's This?
Worst episode ever...

I never watch the show because I think it's ridiculous. I just happened to turn on the tv to Fox while I wait for Family Guy (you have to admit its a hell of a lot funnier than King of the Hill). The show today was somethign abotu a burmese python that the guy bought for his son and then it got out and the entire town went crazy because they were afraid that it'd pop out in their toilets (ive had a frog come out of my toilet before). Anyways, the end result was the python was killed with little to no hesitation. It just seems a bit extreme. I guess this is why I dont watch King of the Hill...

I thought it was a good episode up until they decided to tell the public how awful the snake was. I was hoping it was going to be a good ending, but nope, they just beat it to death.

Great way to get the public knowing about snakes all right!

Basically what happened was, Hanks dog had a birthday party, and for some reason Bobby got a 6ft Burmese python. His dad said he can't have it. Bobby just set it down, and it went into the toilet.

see, you actually watched it... I came in with about 10 minutes left... I wouldnt expect too much from Fox though, they usually go to extremes with their stuff.

King of the Hill and Family Guy both do exactly what they are trying to do...shock, offend, propogate stereotypes...and make you question their validity.

Are they "quality television"? Nope...they're on Fox. But they are successful in their effort to be so ridiculous in their stereotypical portrayals that it forces *most* watchers to admit how ludicrous these stereotypes are. And that's the point...

I don't really think anyone watches those shows for their "realism", do you? :sidestep:

Obviously, I enjoy both shows. I think they are both quite entertaining, in their own ways.
