Laying eggs without breeding

Booger

Will female corns that haven't been bred lay a clutch of slugs or will they absorb them since they haven't been fertilized? I'm wanting to know because this is the first time I've hibernated some females, but didn't breed them afterwards. Thanks

There is always a chance of a female laying a clutch of eggs (slugs) without ever being bred. Having hibernated your females, the chance of this happening may be a bit higher.

Thanks Susan. This is the first season I've ever tried this. I've never had them lay eggs without having been hibernated, so that's why I'm wondering if hibernating them even without breeding could cause them to lay eggs anyway.
