It's my new amel girl from crackerhead on this forum. This one is interesting behavior wise. She comes out of her hole and rattles when I get close like she wants to bite or something, but never does. She is basically in rattlesnake mode until I pick her up, and then she chills out completely. Never struck or anything.

Very nice looking girl you have there. I have a female that looks similar and plays the same hide game all the time. But I digress. My big male golddust does the exact same thing with the tail rattle. He never even coils or gives Any impression he wants to bite. Just rattles his tail to let you know he is there. And he is full grown, 400+ grams it is just his nature. And he is the calmest most docile guy you could ever meet.

I had the pleasure of meeting this little hiding girl in person. She really is a cutie! My amel has only rattled once during feeding.
