My biggest concern would be it not collapsing. We're very into legos around here (especially lego snakes) and most of the buildings really don't have a lot of support for the roof. If you can get the thick baseplates that are actually bricks and use them under the roof, that will help a lot, but they're expensive, and a hide for an adult corn would require several of them. I also would suggest kragling it (for those who haven't seen the Lego movie, that means gluing) for stability, and then washing the entire creation. Legos can run through the dishwasher, even on a sterilize setting without melting, and that's what I'd suggest after completing and gluing the creation. The best glues will be something designed for plastics that is not heat/water sensitive.
