Lid of viv escapes

I have a 2 foot viv for my corn the top of which is about 2 feet high. It is an old aquarium that i bought a new viv lid for. The lid has a slide opening made of a single pane of glass that is approx. 1foot squared. I was wondering if anyone has had escapes through a similar opening? In particular the lid fits tightly to the viv and the glass opening completey covers the opening. My corn would physically have to move this glass pane to escape. Is this possible what with height of the tank and with nothing for the snake to pivote against?
Cheers

Cornsnakes are the 'Masters of Escape'. I wouldn't trust a glass slider because they do have some space and corns only need a wee little space to get out. I would invest the $15.00 and get a metal wire lid designed specifically for reptiles. The fact that you've created this thread shows me that you're not convinced it will keep it in either. Trust your gut; get the lid.:)
