IT'S GOOD TO BE KING
I'm going to get some animal plastic cages and put them on a rack that will hold 3 cages. I really would like to light up those black boxes if not for the snake than for my own enjoyment. If I'm going to light them up what should I use that will give the cage a nice glow and also be beneficial to the snake? I'm thinking of 20" florescence or something like that. They use 4" well lamps take up 6" or more inches and don't look good IMO.
I never really used lights but that’s because I always had aquariums and the room had enough sun light. The only time I used light was for heat I guess. A standard 40 or 60W light bulb. Now that I am getting nicer cages I would like to show them look good and as I said do something for the snake even if they really don't need it but wouldn't hurt.
