Bingo! Bongo..

As far as I can tell they don't actually need lighting persay, as much as they need a heat pad to keep the substrate on one side of the tank at about 84 Degrees F. The other side should be around 70 to 75.

You can use a heat lamp (a red light is probably better since they are nocturnal, it won't bother them so much at night. Natural sunlight on the cage is always a good idea in the day. If you use a heat lamp make sure the air doesn't get dry and place the waterbowl on the cool side where the light isn't or you'll get mold. Make sure the lamp doesn' get too hot when left on all day and is outside the cage so they can't burn themselves.

Hi,
As Candiedbutter said Corns dont really need a light source. They are mostly nocturnal. Bright lights all day could cause stress. They do need a heat source. An under tank heat pad works very well.
If you do use some kind of light make sure that the snake does not have direct contact with it because they could get badly burned.
I would also be very careful useing direct sunlight. A tank/viv becomes like an oven when placed in direct sunlight. IMHO

Uhm.. no. See, what you really need is a heat pad, not a light at all. The UV lights and all don't really help the snake because they are mostly out at night.

Ah, yes and when I said sunlight I didn't mean direct sunlight, sorry if I wasn't clear on that. Just open a window so they know it's daylight out.

natural light in the day and none at night as they are nocturnal but if you low on cash keep it basic!
tank/s heat mat, substrate, hide, water bowl and pinkies and thats about it really for such a young corn
oh and lots and lots of love and affection:D

are black lights ok, that is what im using for heat??
