hey guys.. i am about to order some aspen bedding from lllreptile... at petco they only have like a 8 quart bag for like 9.99 (which i think is crazy but i do get like 20% off since i work there)..but at lllreptile.com they have a 16 quart bag for 10.99.. i think that is a pretty nice deal.. and i am going to be ordering some other things like a thermostat and a 20 gallon heat pad and cage lips.. my question is do you guys think that the whole 16 quart bag is enuff or too little for the 20 gallon tank my baby corn will be in? and has any1 ever ordered aspen or anything from them before?
 
I personally have not ordered from them and my large bag is in cubic feet, so sorry can't help you out there. But definitely a better price going with the little over priced bags at the pet stores.
 
hey where do you guys keep your snake cage? do you put it in a quiet place? or in a place like the living room where people and lights tend to be on at night time?...do you think it has any effect on the snake as to where you keep the tank as long as his needs are met and it is not in direct sunlight?

Mine is in my study, next to my laptop, which is nearly always quiet except me me typing or adjusting in my chair. Because snakes are nocturnal and hatchlings are very shy, it probably stresses them out to be in a room with constant light and hustle-bustle.
 
One is in my bedroom, one is in my youngest son's bedroom (who incidentally cranks his music quite often) and the 3 newest are in the basement in my son's playroom.
 
The 16 quart bag will refill your 20 gal viv multiple times. That I can tell you.

My snakes don't seem to mind cats or activity in the room -- they are in my living room, frequently watched by my cats, and they always come out of their hides if the TV is on, but feed well & act OK. YMMV & remember I am a snake noobie.
 
mine is in my closet - a large walk in - there is normal activity in there - not excessive - on the aspen subject - 2 quarts will fill a ten gallon nicely
