Little picture under username & title?

I've been noticing that some people (like Serpwidgets) have a little picture in the box with their username, title, etc. Um..HOw do you do that?
If it sounds too hard then I will probably not even attempt it. I don't know much about computers if you haven't caught that yet...
 
User CP then Edit Options then Change Avatar.

Note that whatever pic you use for your Avatar must be 50x50pixels (or smaller?)
