Little pieces of skin on snake's head?

So I was feeding my snow today and noticed what looks like a few tiny flakes of skin hanging off his head. There were two tiny ones around his mouth that he rubbed off, and a bigger one on the side of his face which just looked like a paler scale that was slightly detached.

I've seen him every day since I got him, and haven't seen his eyes go butty or blue. Do corns ever show these potential signs of shedding before even going blue? Or could this be something else unrelated to shedding?

For reference, here's what scale looked slightly detached (I couldn't get a good picture of my own snake).

yeah, they can get pretty ragged looking prior to shed. My snake just shed 3 days ago, he's beautiful right now. But if you had seen him before, you'd think it was a different snake. His skin was very dull, wrinkly, scales peeling back, he looked rough to say the least.

They should shed more than every two months as a baby...mine are 6 months and still shedding about once a month. My adults shed every 2 months or so though.

Chances are the couple of flakes of scale was from a previous shed that wasn't noticeable because of her morphism. Unless a snake has a health issue causing random scales to shed which I'm sure yours does not then it is either scales that had stuck shed from a previous one or they are damaged scales do to face rubbing on objects like when they are trying to escape. The next shed will cure either issue so don't worry it. :)
As for the timing of a shed it is quite variable. I've experienced baby snakes shedding from every 2-3 weeks to as long as 2-3 months.
(Just to reiterate from other posts about shedding that snakes do not shed solely on growth)

I emailed the breeder, she said he's probably due for another shed soon. I still haven't seen any difference in his eyes, but he has been a lot more secluded now. Normally he's very active at night, but last night he spent all of his time under his substrate hiding.

Rufus started hiding a lot about 2 weeks before his eyes ever went blue. Then it was another week until he shed. The whole process took about 3 weeks. He also refused to eat during that time. I presented a mouse each week but he would not take it. Then the day after he shed he went back on feed.

Cool, thanks for your help. I have another concern, I guess I'll ask it here instead of making a whole new thread.

I haven't found any poop in a while. Not since I fed him Friday, or since feeding him a week before. He's been spending a lot of time under his substrate so he may have pooped somewhere there but I did a quick search through the areas he frequents and couldn't find anything. Could he be constipated and are there any signs of constipation I could be watching for?

It might be helpful to know that from what I've seen, he's been drinking more. Where before I had only seen him drink once or twice, in the past few days I've seen him drink 3 or 4 times.
