Little Ratties

Just thought I would share the rat babies with you all. I was on rat cleaning duty tonight and grabbed the camera for a quick shot of the little ones. There are 10 in the pile, just really hard to get them to line up. Should be more babies on the way, the other 3 females are walking.....well.....waddling kinda funny. Hope you enjoy!

They look mighty tasty indeed.
OK, after reading the "PETA" thread, and now this.....Misty, your carnivorous inclinations are starting to scare the bejeezus outta me. :grin01:

Well, another cleaning/camera night. Precious had her litter on 3/23 and Maggie had hers on 3/24. They have been playing baby swap with the 23 in the pile. The 4th female dropped her litter of 10 on 3/25, no pic yet. I've also added a pic of some from the litter above with momma. Their eyes finally opened yesterday. Enjoy!

As much as I don't much like rodents, those little guys are cute. ... After the discussion on another thread about live vs. frozen, I'm not sure I'd have the heart to toss one of 'em in with certain death. ... Good thing I'm not committed to one method or the other.

Cute babies, though.

Darling little pile of rats. Wish my females were that good of producers. I think the most one of my girls had was ten. One consistently has less. O well, they are good Moms to the ones they have.

I am not much for rodents either, but man, those little things are darling!!! I almost feel bad now for using them as food. . . . almost. Beautiful little fuzz balls!
