I suppose they were Live when you ordered them... :grin01: You have to hate teh Eu at times like this...

you can't generally buy live pinks in the uk. best policy may be to have a quiet word with your local reptile shop. They may know of a local breeder who has their own live pink supply and help you with a deal. I've got 10 live ones here in kent that you'd be more than welcome to but they are a week old now so probably too big for hatchlings. I've got 1.2 breeding and a new 1.3 group that haven't produced yet, perhaps go to your local petstores and ask if they have got any pregnant mice that need a good home (tip, perhaps best not tell them what you want the babies for!)

thanks janine managed to get hold of my friend visiting in your area.......they came back today.....damn

If the syringing is working for now, you have a chance to get some pinks in the meantime. At least you can keep them alive while you get the mice production underway. good luck

thanks again always a great help :)

Honestly, if I could send you a correctly-sized pink tonight, I would :) Lil thrived on syringed mouse puree for months until she finally got the hang of eating live pinks, and is a respectable 60gs now, so hang on in there

how did you ween "lil" onto pinks i introduce a pink and leave it overnight just in case then i syringe approx every 5 days

whole story on thread called 'the saga continues' on here, but in a nutshell once she was gaining weight again I tried her with f/t so many times and she would just poop on them, then I started forcing chunks of mouse into her so she could get used to the feel of it going down her throat instead of the puree. Finally the mice started to produce their pinkies and not eat them all themselves so I just left a live one in a tub with her overnight, mostly she pooped on them, I washed them and finally she started eating. She still wont touch f/t, but has taken a stunned hopper now, if I haven't any live on her feeding day of the right size I still force a f/t after she's ignored it for a few hours, because I'm paranoid about her getting skinny again.

now let me work on that one i work for a courier company that could help let me know when youve suitable pinks in the mean time i will check the policies etc we could be in business

no worries, the breeders are preggers again already, the smaller mice have been mating but may not be old enough to produce yet, should be new pinks in about 3 weeks. I cull out so the remaining pinks grow fast for Lil, but no probs to leave litter larger so they don't get so big so fast :)
