This is an 04 male bred by Len Krysko, out of WC parents.

He has a silver background that has a bit of orange and even pink in places. I don't mean he has a tan background. I'm talking about little flecks of orange and pink, mostly on the sides. Right after he sheds, he looks very silver with just a bit of 'orange frosting.' Unfortunately these photos were taken 3 or 4 weeks after the last shed. He does have nice yellow on the side markings (more salmon-color closer to the tail), which is something I find lacking in many of the 'non-locality Miamis.'

Here he is with my WC Miami female (he looks more freshly shed there... he's the one on the top, and she's more red than orange with a bit more black.)

The second photo is my other female Locality Miami (he also bred her, but I didn't get a photo at the time.)

Long time no see, Larry. :) Great looking Miamis! My yearling male Miami-phase from Kathy Love looks a lot like that male. I like nice borders on a Miami. :cheers:
 
Hi Dean. I also have this other male, but he was smaller (maybe too young to breed this time), and he has some tan near the neck and head. He definitely has thick black borders, and I'm sure I'll breed him at some point. Hopefully he'll have some offspring that don't have the tan but do have the thicker borders like he has. I'll try to find a photo of your snake from Kathy.

I like yours. They do look similar, especially the orange color and shape of the saddles. The Okeetee looks very nice, too.

Thanks. I had convinced myself that the red looked better than the orange (saddles), but now I'm not so sure anymore. I don't think Len is breeding them any longer, at least from what he told me, but I got the male directly from him. The other/smaller male with the thicker borders (and more aberrant saddles) was bred by Mark Damico near Tampa, out of parents he got from Len.
 
Thanks for the nice replies. I personally don't see why people bother with Hypo Miamis, since the black really adds to the look of a Miami (imho.) Mine may not have the 'cleanest' silver backgrounds in the world, but I think the little bits of orange and pink add to the beauty (even if that doesn't come through in the photos.) I'll try to remember to post a new pic after the male sheds the next time.
 
Taking into account, that they are WC or direct WC siblings, I think these are some of the most beautiful Miamis I've ever seen. Of course, after several generations of line breeding you get the HighEnd animals, but as I said, for nearly WC lines they are fantastic!

Thanks. I think the orange male and the female that was pictured with him are already very similar. Perhaps they originate from the same population, or at least carry many common genes? Sometimes I think the WC female is the most beautiful (see photo.)

The other male and female are half-silblings (same father.)
