Your Rosies are goregous, I love Upper Keys corns. I got one this year and I fell in love with them. Now I need a girlfriend for him, but I haven't found one that I like yet, I'm too picky lol.

Man, those are great. You've definitely accumulated a group of Key cornsnakes that ANYONE should be proud of. Kudos to you. Love the images.

Thanks...

The kind words are very much appreciated!

KJ - I owe you a HUGE thanks for hooking me up with Graham to get these Boot Key animals.

Tom E - The substrate is carefresh. Some kind of recycled paper stuff I think. It is really absorbent and has very, very little dust. It makes cleaning easy. I buy it if it's on sale - and only if it's on sale.

Thanks again.

funny you say that....

Very cool.. The aberrant patterned ones have patterns like Trans pecos rats kinda.. Very cool looking...

I think that EVERY time I look at the aberrant ones! My adult males have even more of a Trans Pecos look to their patterning.

Thanks!

almost bought a rat snake yesterday.. but once again decided to go with the central american boa.. really nice snakes keep up the good collection :bird:

Hey Tim.

Great seeing you as well!! The funny thing about the temperaments on these is how drastically different they are compared to the other locales I have.

My Big Pine snakes - all 6 of them, are super tame and very easy going. My Marathon Key snakes are alittle flighty, but not aggressive. These are little monsters!!! I dont know if I told you this part...... As hatchlings I sometimes house them in pairs until they're about 6 or 8 months old. I had to separate these at about a month old because I found THREE of them trying to eat their cage mates!!! THREE of them!!!! If it were one I would call it an isolated thing - but come on!!! I've never seen that in any corns or ratsnakes and I've housed alot of ratsnake together....... Anyway, I thought that was wild and needless to say, I separated them all and wont be doing the 'communal housing' thing with their offspring.

Take care Tim.

Just measured the adult pair of Boot Keys that bred LAST year (when they were even smaller).

The male is 42" (streached fully out to the tip of his tail)... the female is 44" ... that sounds kinda big but these things are SMALL. I just took some fresh pics...I'llpost them once I get everything resized!

Again Byron- sorry about the quality- I'm a horrible photpgrapher. This is the adult male Boot Key Rosy Rat.

Thanks for posting those bro. That pair is just screamin'!!!!!!

I love the color on both and they have excellent diffusion.
Now I can see where some of offspring get their super bright orange coloring from.
