long night

Dayoh

Dayoh
What a sad night for my Dayoh. I lost power in the middle of the night and it got to be about 10 degree's in my house for about 5 hours. Dayoh had to have been stressed. I took him to work with me which let me tell you caused a stir. But i needed to be able to get his heat going. He is okay , thank God. He didn't like being in the car either. I didn't realize riding would affect him so much till i looked over and he was going nutts. I covered him up and he settled. I can't imagine what must have been going through his mind after all the drama he has had between last night and today. I did manage to turn a hater of snakes into a lover. I am proud of that, so if one good thing came of today i atleast know one more person who won't smash the next snake they see in there yard with a shovel.

Oh goodness, thats not fun. I'm glad he's doing okay though. Sienna was not much for car trips either (we had her out last weekend and she did laps around the top of her kritter carrier the whole time - 45 minutes there and back).

Thats great about work though - keep the converts comin!;)

Wellllll....here's the story. Jeff was adament that we could only have TWO snakes. We already had Sienna, and he said we could get her a mate, and that was IT! So the lavender het opal I wanted from Joe Pierce came with an Amel het lav female, and Jeff said we had to find another home for the amel - we were sticking to two snakes. So a friend of ours who is also into corns was very excited when we offered to just *give* him an amel het lav. But, he can't pick it up until March 13, so she is staying with us temporarily. Interestingly enough, Jeff just fell in love with the amel, and has hinted several times that maybe we should jsut keep her. So as it stands now, she will be going to a new home in a month, but then again, she may be staying with us after all... I guess this one is up to Jeff... hehe.

Sounds to me she's a keeper and since she'll be with you for a month longer he will want to keeper for sure. LOL...... If you need a third taker keep me in mind I am right around the corner and wanting another. Where do you get your corns?

I got them from Joe Pierce (Snakes Alive), and they are just gorgeous - and great eaters too!!! If you're in the market for a new one he's got some really nice ones :)

Just out of curiosity, where exactly are you located (I think this came up before, but for some reason I can't remember)?

Belleville, Canton area. Been living here for about 4 years now. I've lived every where from Tuscon, Arizona to Northern Michigan. Like to travel, well used to any way. Had my son and had to settle down. Where abouts did you say you are?

And did you buy online or is he semi local?

Wow, thats not too far at all! I'm in Sterling Heights.

Joe is located out in California some where, so the snakes were shipped, which is a bit extra, but the price on the snakes were so low that it was still about the same price as getting one locally. They're definitely high quality animals, in my opinion though, and may have been worth the extra shipping anyway - hmmm, I'm starting to sound like a sales pitch, lol. Anyway, Good luck finding your new addition, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you eventually come home with!
