Know of anyone who sells bulk frozen feeders for a decent price in the general Buffalo area? I'm willing to drive a good hour or so to get them.

I'm just astounded by the shipping prices of some of the big names. I'm just across the state from them, but Big Apple charges $40 to ship $25 worth of pinks to me.

Hell!!! It's the principle...I'm in Buffalo-NOT Hong Kong!!

Hey Sam,

My I suggest that you look for a local reptile club because most clubs have a few people who breed their own mice and then sell the rest.

ordering from places like that helps if your feeding enough snakes you can buy alot, like ill get from rodent pro...
1 bag fuzzies
2 bags med rats
2 bags xl mice
1 bag small mice

etc. shipping still same price till you fill that box and have to add another. whichs takes alot i think. just looking for a bag of pinkies etc... yeah he has a great idea. chances are they will be live. if your wanting to stick to f/t pinkies.. you can catch local shows etc. and they always have f/t there at least all i have been too. no shipping charges. can get about 6 months worth and i think its better to put them in bags of about 10 so your not always opening the big bag letting the fresh air in . if you have a vacuum sealer... even better.

If you are in buffalo go to Markhiems. They are on Sheridan Drive. Basically drive towards UB. They are about 5-10min from the Boulevard Mall and have a pretty decent selection of reptiles and feeder mice/rats (both live and frozen). And they breed all of their own feeders. If I remember right the price I paid for an adult feeder mouse was around 1-1.50. They keep the frozen feeders in a freezer where you can pick out your own and are individually bagged so you are sure of the size you are getting.

Yeah-I know what you mean.

At this point, I have 3 young ones on pinks. I don't like to feed live...due to the possibility of injuring the snakes. I did that in the 80's with my RTB and they both got nipped from time to time.

Our local show is VERY small. They had no frozen rodents that I saw.

Thanks Stormy!!

I'm familiar with Markheim's. It's about 20 minutes away from my house, and I occasionally shop there.

I'm also going to call the lady who bred one of my snakes and ask her where she usually gets her feeders.

All else fails a friend of mine lives in NT and orders from RodentPro every few months with some other people and they split the shipping cost. Though they are ferret people and not snake people but they do tend to save a bunch on shipping that way.
