Looking for a place to buy baby corn snakes in Maryland

Hello! After months of debating and reading, I am ready to purchase my first corn snake. However the only places I know of to buy them are commercial pet stores like Petco and Petsmart. I have read many opinions on both sides, and am nervous I will get a poorly cared for snake.

I was curious if anyone here is or knows of any breeders or reputable stores in state, as the idea of getting one sent to me in the mail doesn't sit well with me, and also makes the cost of one out of my budget. I don't mind driving a bit for a snake that has been raised properly and well cared for.

Any ideas or information in this vein would be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I work in Elkridge,so once snakes start hatching out I'm sure we could arrange something . A lot of us ship snakes via Fedex, and have been doing so no problems for a few years now. Other than the price, which sometimes is more than the snake, shipping them is really no issue for the snake, seller and buyer.

I don't know anything about Maryland pet stores except that they have their snakes shipped to them as well. There's nothing really to worry about, it's very low risk if done properly. You might see if there are any upcoming shows near you as well. Depending on where you are in MD, the Havre de Grace show might be the place for you. It's a monthly show, and inexpensive to attend.

I'm from DE and I go every month. I also might be able to assist you since I do have some things available depending on what you want.

I'd definitely be interested in your hatchlings! I'm not set on any particular morphs or anything, so my needs are simple. Overnight shipping for snakes just makes them out of my budget, but it's good to know everyone has ha positive experiences with it anyway. Any idea on when they would be available? Thanks!
