Nice shot.

I have the hardest time capturing that purpley hue on 'film' too, but I think you did a fine job here. :)

And, oh great, thanks, now I've got the Purple People Eater song stuck in my head. LOL

It is a ....two-eyed, no-horned, sli-thrin purple mousey eater....two-eyed, no-horned sli-thrin purple mousey eater..... *he don't wear shorts*....friendly little mousey eater....what a sight to seeeeeeeeee.

:p

(no making fun of my singing skills here, LOL)

OK, I couldn't resist.....you made me. :p

THE PURPLE MOUSIE EATER

Well I saw the thing a comin' out of his hide
It didn't have no horn, but it had two eyes.
I commenced to shakin' and I said "ooh-eee"
It looks like a purple mousie eater to me.

It was a two-eyed, no-horned, slithrin' purple mousie eater.
(two-eyed, no-horned, slithrin' purple mousie eater)
A two-eyed, no-horned, slithrin' purple mousie eater
Sure looks cool to me. (two eyes?)

Well he crawled out of his log and looked right at me
I said Mr. Purple Mousie Eater don't eat me
I heard him rattle his tail so tough
He wouldn't eat me 'cos I'm to much.

It was a two-eyed, no-horned, slithrin' purple mousie eater
two-eyed, no-horned, slithrin' purple mousie eater
two-eyed, no-horned, slithrin' purple mousie eater
Sure looks cool to me. (no horns?)

I said Mr. Purple Mousie Eater, what's your line
He said it's eatin' rats and mousies and it sure is fine
But that's not the reason that I came out here
I wanna rock-and-roll and scream and cheer.

Well bless my soul, rock and roll, slithrin' purple mousie eater.
Back not bowed, undergrowed, slithrin' purple mousie eater
(we wear short shorts) slithrin' purple mousie eater
sure looks cool to me.

And then he crawled up in his tree and then back to the ground.
He started to rock, really rockin' around
To a crazy little ditty with a swingin' tune
(sing awop bop aloo bop lop bam boom)

Well, bless my soul, rock and roll
Slithrin' purple mousie eater
Back not bowed, undergrowed, slithrin' purple mousie eater.
(he don't wear shorts) Slithrin' purple mousie eater
Sure looks cool to me. (rats and mousies?)

And then he went on his way, and then what do you know.
I saw him last night crawlin slow and low.
He was blowing it out, a 'really knockin' em dead
The smell don't seem to bug him, he went right back to bed.

Be seein' ya!

Careful, you'll date yourself!

I'll bet in one post you managed to completely segregate this forum into two age groups:
1) those that know what inspired your creativity
2) those that have no idea what I'm talking about

Very funny

LOL, yeah...but it comes back. I have to admit I've never heard that song on the radio. They made us sing it in school. LOL, but I've always liked the lyrics.

For the unindoctrinated, it'll be good for them to look it up, download it, and give it a listen.

:D

Cav, I fall into the first category. Not because I am old enough to remember it being popular just that I am a big Dr. Demento fan and it is a staple in the novelty song fandom.

Yeah I thought it would make a funny title, you want to hear something really funny, I'm 21 years old so technically I belong in category 2 :p

LOL I love your version of the song Hurley!

They made us sing that at school too. My brother used to run around the house and sing it in his underwear LOL ;) he still does (just kidding) I have heard it once on the radio but it was years ago. I was trying to find my station and i came across it. The lyrics are catchy LOL

Very nice Lavender pics!

Two categories? Do you mean not everyone knows the Purple People Eater song? That's completely unbelievable. I thought everybody knew that song!!

I am 33 and I have not heard the song ever before. But that might be because I have lived all my live on the other side of the ocean ;)
