so i have a 17" extremely thin corn snake, he is still a baby of course. and he got out of his tank. how? no idea the lid was all the way on when my bf came home to notice he wasnt in his tank. we saw him last night before bed. and now hes no where. i put out a pinkie, but should i put out more randomly in the room or house? any suggestions on where else i should look. we've looked everywhere and stumped on his where abouts. this sucks i feel terrible for the little guy. :/

I feel for you same thing happened to me about two weeks ago brought home a new baby and the next morning kazam gone..However I did find her two days later hiding in some paper towel a few feet from her viv lol,I think she was in her viv and I panicked when I did not see her and emptied her viv in a hurry and probably discarded her in her substrate or something... a few tricks sprinkl4e flour or baking soda around suspected hiding areas try the pop bottle trap and search fast and thoroughly like it was your child..

Hope you find the little gaffer..

s/he might still be in his/her tank. check you bedding, and in all your hides. also check the lip under the lid, my snake loves to hide right there

thanks for the advice so far, but we have yet to find him. we have tons of electronics in this apartment and i fear he could be anywhere, even inside the walls. i searched up and down and now i have left a few pinkies in random spots that i assme he could be in, and left a few heating pads too. any other advice like these would be appreiciated very much. i couldnt stop checking the tank over and over after i came home from the bad news. its been two days and now im super worried. wish us luck.. thanks again for the advice you guys have given us.

Use a heatpad, or a heat emitter of some sort the snake will come to it.

NO DUCT TAPE PLASE, BUT IF ALREADY USED IT AND YOU FIND UR CORN GLUED TO IT USE VIRGIN OLIVE OIL AND MASSAGE THE GLUED AREA.

thanks everyone for the advice i just left a post on someone else question.. but we found him! it was 5 days after we noticed he was gone. we tore the place apart and it just seemed absolutly impossible to find our little guy. well like i said..on the other forum i told the guy with his lost snake to keep out pinkies near warm places and the original tank. seriously i didnt think it would work but he was gone his feeding day so i figured he would wanna come out to eat eventually, if he wasnt dead already. but yes now i little guy is safe. :)
