I have had my corn about 3 months now. He is kept in living room and all ok. Just wondering how quiet the environment they live needs to be.
Reason I ask is that I have a stereo in living room but not turned it on at all as don't want to disturb or upset my snake. Just wondering do they need total quietness or can they tolerate any sort of volume??

I dont think that the sound nessisarly bothers them because they cant really "hear". They sense vibrations through the ground. And I think they are used to some amount of vibration. I dont think it will bother them unless it never stops.

My snake is also kept in the living room. Which also has a stereo. I play it fairly often and not all that soft. It doesn't seem to have bothered my snake in the slightest.

well my snake is nut bugged by system of a down, disturbed, lamb of god, and ROb zombie, and m stero is by no means played quitely. so i think unless you are gonna play some fruity music the snake wont care :grin01:

Music and corns!

I got around to playing some music the other night, and to my surprise both my amels came out to see what was going on.I never in the world thought that snakes would or could be into heavy rock/metal/punk!They seemed to enjoy the experience as I would have thought that if they were upset by it they would've hidden or raced around trying to escape thier boxes,I haven't tried classical yet, will try a bit of wagner later...I didn't have it on that loud, but appreciating Green Day wouldn't be the same if you have to listen to it at a whisper!V
