This is Venus, my '05 Okeetee from Kathy Love. I really like the amount of black she has on her. I think she's going to be a suh-weet adult.

Nice! The second pic is fantastic, if I ever start stitching again I may make a pattern out of that one. Of course I'll have to give you the finished piece.

Thanks Mike! Can't wait to see the finished piece someday. My Mom knits, and it's sort of a tradition that she knit Christmas stockings for new family members, friends of family, etc.. A couple of years ago she got sick of the patterns she had, and I offered to design whatever she wanted. Since then I've designed a number of stockings for her. A few weeks ago, she handed me a sock with these little skiing pandas on them, and said she wanted to do a stocking featuring this theme. I immediately thought of your daughter, whom you said liked pandas. She's finished the stocking since I last saw her, so I'll have to get a pic for you next time I'm over there. Strange but cool community we have here, where we know the animal preferences of people's kids we've never met. :)

Hehe, that's very cool. I'm flattered that you remembered my daughter's love of Pandas. I'd love to get my hands on those paper towels you had :grin01:

That snake has really colored up nicely. There is deffinately a lot of orange coming in. This is going to be one screaming adult!

I know, the whole "het sunkissed" thing is almost as over-used these days as the "het hibird" was a couple of months ago.

But any chance she's het? The more I look at her, the head pattern doesn't look quite normal to me. Looks more smooshed and the little "throat strap" coming up, as well.

But you're right, she's got some awesome colors coming in so far. I wish my Okeetee looked that nice at that age.

I thought the exact same thing when I first saw her. I even mentioned it in the first pic thread I posted of her. I know Kathy's Okeetee lines have sunkissed in them. Her Sunkissed Okeetees (formerly Hypo Okeetees) were not the result of introducing sunkissed to her Okeetee lines. They popped up in those lines. So I guess it wouldn't surprise me if she's a sunkissed het. I'll be breeding her to my Abbott's male, who has Love Okeetee in his background, presumably. Who knows what might pop out in subsequent generations?

Thanks for the nice comments about her (you too, Prieta). :)
