MA Reptile Owners

As many MA reptile owners know it is illegal to own Green Tree Pythons or Emerald Tree Boas in MA without a special $25 a year permit but then even with the permit you can not sell or breed them. I've heard recently though that Andrew Kelly of finegtps.com and some other people are trying to get Green Tree Pythons and Emerald Tree Boas off the unlawful list in Mass and in the next few months are going to have hearing. Has anyone else heard about this at all and how do you guys feel about it? I'm personally pumped, I don't plan on owning any of these snakes anytime soon but GTP are one of my favorite species of snakes and its annoyed me that you can't keep them in MA. Hopefully everything works out.

I hadn't heard, but I can't see why these snakes are on the unlawful list in the first place, so I hope it changes. I could understand hots being on a special permit list... But these guys have special care conditions so I can't see anyone except serious snake lovers having them in the first place, and I would generally expect that people who would have them would be relatively good owners.

Same hear I haven't heard any of this either? I go to Nerds (Zoo Creatures) every Sunday though so I will ask them this question next week if you like.
