Has i'm new to this, if i got a male and a female hatchling from the same batch (ie brother and sister) would these be ok to breed later ( much later)?, or would it be better to get from different batches?, also at what age would i have to seperate so that no unwanted babies would come along?

Actually, it's a fairly normal practice! When developing some of the higher end morphs it is almost nessecary to breed siblings together and also back to the parents as well!
Although it is a topic of debate not only in corn snakes but many other herps as well. It's best to out cross lineage but sometimes not possible.
I think that it should not become the normal practice for everyone and more than likely does weaken bloodlines over time. Possible deformaties and other health problems could start popping up!
Hope this helps...yes it can and it is done! For the normal hobbyist you probably wouldn't have problems but unless you have opal motley's or something similiar, I wouldn't recommend it.
