But you'll hide under there anyway huh?

Made me laugh anyway, thanks for looking! :wavey:

My Anery did something similar yesterday - made up a new digs for him and put in a small toilet-roll hide - with a box at the end to block it off - looked in the hide part - no snake - looked at the box that was barely bigger than the hide and was just there to keep it from moving - and there is a large coil of grey snake - 60cm snake managed to squeeze himself into an area about 2x2x1cm! - I swear he was sitting there looking smug...

But you see, from most angles, he couldn't see you, which therefore infers that you can't see him, which means the hiding place is good. Most non-human creatures think that way, which is a very good thing in my profession (vet tech). The whole concept of "big butts" is lost on most of the animal kingdom.

He/she watches me all the time and half the time I catch him/her on a cross-tub move and he/she just freezes and looks at me. I went in to clean out a fresh poo a few days ago and I was lifting hides to figure out where he/she was, and he/she couldn't find the way out of the repti-carpet packaging and was tail rattling so I opened the end of the box and it was a continuous rattle until I put the lid back on the tub. I thought, I'll leave your poo next time if you're going to have that attitude!

Cute pic! I love the fact that the tub says "Hermit Crabs" on the side, very apt! :)

Well, Petsmart "doesn't have any bigger containers that he/she wouldn't be able to escape from" (it was a cardboard cat carrier or that tub) so the girl who was helping me and I had to wrangle him/her into that tub for the 3 minute drive to my house. I figured maybe it would "smell" familiar and turned it into a hide. :shrugs: He/she tries to get in there as best as he/she can and then I am watched. ;)
