Mean but pretty Miami... local (Bay Area) preferred

Lolo

Surrounded by snakes
I've decided to find a new home for "Betty," the mean little Miami phase corn. I have no plans to breed Miamis, and she's just not nice enough for a pet-only snake! She's currently a biter and mega-rattler, but could mellow with age and regular patient handling. She's a small juvenile at probably 150-200g, and feeds readily on f/t hopper mice (prefers you just leave the mouse in her tub). I'm open to all offers on her, and would consider free adoption to the right home. Not able to ship at this time, but willing to meet within an hour of San Francisco.

P.S. I should call her an "unconfirmed female," since I've never personally popped her... she was also a rescue, so there could be unknown hets in her genetics.

Thanks! She is pretty, for sure... but I never get to enjoy her, since she won't let me too close without tail-whipping & striking. :( But I'll keep her until finding the right home, or until I change my mind about selling the brat - we have a love/hate relationship, LOL.

I wish I was local--bitey snakes don't bother me, and I want to add a Miami to my collection. Maybe I'll get lucky and find one for sale at the upcoming reptile fair in January....

She's a beauty, that's for sure!

Yes, Love/Hate relationship.. I have got a few of those. lol. Hate 'em enough to sell them but Love them enough to keep 'em. lol
I have got one that is pure evil. But that is what makes him 'special'.

Hope you find a home for this beauty.

why don't you just take her over to carlos at the east bay vivarium?

I'd rather find her a home myself, so I know where she's going... I'm fine with caring for her until then, as it's not a "life and death" or financial type of situation. EBV is a great place, though! :)

Yeah, I was having second thoughts about re-homing her... but I think she deserves more handling than I currently provide (with 28 other snakes & 4 mammals to care for), and will probably mellow out if she gets that attention. Either that, or she'd be perfect for a breeding project - where it doesn't matter if she's a brat or not. ;)

Hope you find a home for this beauty.

Looks like I may have! "Definitions" lives pretty close to me, and has offered her a good home... I wish him luck, LOL.
