Melanistic Deer

Yes, it's better to let all the deer live and frolic in the field, even when there are too many of them to be supported by the environment and they all die a horrible starving death in the winter.

But yes, hunting is cruel and bad. You bad, bad hunters and meat eaters!

I wouldn't know. I rather see deer alive than dead on my plate. :)
. . . and India Indians would rather see cows running free through the fields as well . . . doesn't stop me from enjoying a nice grilled burger!

Homo sapien is an omnivore. Some 'humans' don't realize that is the way of nature. I don't have a problem with that either. As long as you let me enjoy my grilled sirloin and venison sausage :licklips: , I'll let you enjoy your bean sprout salad. ;)

PS. I'm not going to run home and free all my snakes tonight either . . . :sidestep:

hunting to lower a deer population is good when it prevents starvation, because it also prevents the spread of disease. As the animals starve, their immune systems weaken and then they easily catch and spread diseases, which will greatly decrease the population, not to mention cause a health hazard for humans. I personally dont hunt, but Im not against people who do. And venison well prepared.. mm mmm good.
