Hey guys Michael here??? DO MICE EAT PLASTIC??? I do not how but I had a plastic container in one of my mice cages and they ate the whole thing they had food and everything they did not touch the food on top of the plastic but do mice eat plastic???
HELP???
 
no mice don't EAT plastic persay. They chewing it up to grind their teeth down. Do it would be best to go to your local petstore and buy little wooden blocks for them to chew on.
 
Mine were the same way. They wouldn't touch a wooden block, so I started throwing a lego block in each cage.
 
Well maybe soaking the blocks in like Chicken broth or Beef broth works. I bought scented ones. and my mice and rats love them.
 
Can I keep them in those plastic storage containers for now or will they eat threw it???? Do not want to take a chance!!!

I use Sterilite tubs in my mouse rack, and I've found if the tub is too small on floor space, they will get bored and eat a hole through the side. Now that've I've switched to longer 41qt Sterilites, the problem has been alleviated for the most part.

If they're in a glass aquarium already, I'd say they'd be just fine in that.

And like everyone else, those flavored blocks of wood are a waste of money. They'd much rather pee on it than chew on it. Best chew toys for mice/rats I've found are small dog rawhides and chicken/pork bones with a little meat left on..

I get tears in the eyes over the demise of perfectly good Legos, yet I can toss a couple hundred rodents into cages for food nightly.
