hi..

i noticed yesterday on my corn that there was a little tiny black bug on him....r those mites? and if so what should i do to get rid of them...

Yeah they sound like mites. Check the water bowl for any dead ones. In the manual it says to use liquid ivermectin in some water to clean snakes and their cages. Having had absolutely no experience with mites or ticks, I would advise you to take your snake to the vets'.

pick up a product called Mite Guard by Nature Zone...mix it into the substrate. Great stuff, helps clean up a minor mite problem and is a good preventative. Seeing that you're in LA, try Reptile Depot or Exotic Life (both in Chatsworth) or order online. To my knowledge Petco does not carry this line.
