So I have $180 to spend on putting together a new larger viv for my July '05 Amel, If you all has this $$$ to spend, what would you get?

I plan on getting a 20 gal Long Critter Tank and and hopefully using the rest of the $$$ to get a new hatchling from a local breeder once I find one within driving distance in the Chicagoland area.

What particular things would you buy to "pamper" your corn? ;) I'd like some ideas. :crazy02:

you can get a new hide and a fancy drinking bowl for water...some new fake plants, vines and such...hmmm stock up on food, a digital temp gauage if you dont have one...thats just some ideas :) i have a july 2005 Amel too hehe :crazy02:

Hide and water bowel you can make out of anything around the house but you said pamper, so like stated vines to feel more secure and things to climb on are good but still you can buy plastic vine/leaves at an art and craft store and glue them on to anything you like. Wood and stick you can find in the yard/woods after cleaning them. Use them to climb on. :shrugs:

Just thoughts.

Buy it a large comfy leather recliner so it can look out of it's viv & see you loungin' at all times with a beer in your hand.... :grin01: :grin01:

Buy it 6 plastic containers & 6 friends..... :crazy02:

True you can make a water dish and a hide from something at home, but if you want to pamper your snake and have the funds to do so, why not buy a nice water dish and a awesome hide :shrugs:

Lol!

All great ideas... A digital thermometer is a great idea, I don't have one of those.

As for buy 6 containers and 6 friends, I WISH that were an option... I'm lucky I got my husband to agree to a #2 snake

As for hides and vines and water dishes etc, ya I got that all covered in the small viv he is moving out of, I guess he's already pampered it seems, I'll just have to buy similar things to fill his new viv.

I was just curious if there were any neat frivilous thingies out there that people WOULD buy IF they had the money to burn ;)

This is his current viv that he is moving out of that I hope to put a new lil' one in soon.

i'd buy a zoo-med snake cave (awesome humid hide), digital thermometer, lots of vines, silk plants, grapevine branches...make it into a natural viv. not only pamper the snake, but make it an attractive viv to look at too.

Ghor - that dragon head thing, I have a decal of that same thing over my brake light on the back window of my car.

I've decided that I am going to get the 20 gallon L viv, digital thermometers, some branchy things and greenery, new water dishes for old viv and new viv (that's easier to take in and out for changing the water)
Then I'm going to buy the Ghost they have there. She's gorgeous! I made a container to bring her home in and everything :crazy02:
