I happened to be in Minneapolis this weekend, staying at my aunts house in a suburb just west of Minneapolis. We had tickets to go to the Vikings game on Sunday at the Metrodome. They rescheduled the game Saturday night due to fears of roof issues, and then Sunday morning the roof deflated/collapsed. So obviously I didn't get to go to the game which is now rescheduled to be played in Detroit (but hey, if you are in Detroit you can go for free....)
Anyway, Saturday we had to make a trip, in the worst of the blizzard, for my brothers friend who came with us to pick up a car. Saturday was the only day to pick it up, so I took my camera along for the ride. Almost all of these pics are from highway 169 between Golden Valley and Shakopee, Minnesota. Yes, these are pictures on what is supposed to be a highway...
Now these pictures are on the drive home today (December 12). Nice, bright, and sunny out. Okay conditions on the roads. I did my best at taking a pic of the metrodome on the way by, but my camera wouldn't focus and it was the wrong side of the highway to get a good view anyway.
Minneapolis:
Metrodome:
St Paul:
And between the cities and the western part of Wisconsin there were probably about 5 semi trucks stranded on the highway median.
 All I could say on Saturday when we were shoveling my aunts driveway, with snow taller than me (and I'm not short!), is "I'm moving to Florida!" *grumble grumble*
To make things worse her driveway is a very steep incline, and near impossible to get up with a vehicle.
