I hatched out this guy last year Amel x bloodred no hets listed from either.
After 1st shed

I think he was/is a caramel diffused. But I was told these are belly checkers and he is a caramel het diffused:

Now just over a year later he looks like this:

And the "checkers" are just some speckles now:

Caramel diffused or caramel het diffused?

Look caramel diffused to me. He sure did turn into a beautiful snake. Was he the only diffused one? If memory serves me right weren't there others in that clutch as well?

Yeah there where 3 bloods, 4 normals and this guy. I kept the 3 bloods/diffused until their side patterns all faded away(diffused) and sold them. Re bred the pair this year and hatched out 2 caramels, 6 bloods and 6 normals. It's exciting to find hidden hets :) That was my 1st clutch ever, and Gold Sword(kids named him) is the second snake I ever produced and he will be here forever! Every time he shed's he gets more yellow. I hope to breed him back to his Mom, the amel. Hope to produce some sulfurs and fires :)

I will be trying them together this year. My long term goal with the first clutch was to keep back a pair of het fires to grow up. Now thanks to hidden hets I could achieve that goal as soon as next season. To think I purchased the female as a male sunglow! I can't believe I didn't notice how much the caramel het shows on her. Now when I look at her it's so obvious!
