Karoni

Cornaholic
Hi all. Before coming to this site last month, I had no idea corn morphs even existed. Can you tell me what morph this little guy is? Thanks!

What does her belly look like? Is it solid white, no checks? It has to be. I can see she's a motley pattern. Are her eyes red or brown? So for now I'm going with sunglow motley, AND a very nice one!!

Nanci, thanks so much. The answer is...I don't know. I am thinking about rescuing another snake from the reptile rescue organization where I got Sienna. This little sweetie caught my eye. Do you think it will stay that color all its life or will it change as an adult? Thanks for the help!

I am pretty sure she will stay very close to that same color. She _might_ get more orange, or the red might get more intense, but she will be more or less the same. She won't get any less pretty.

He's an opal stripe from VMS. If you do a search for "Mango Opal Stripe" I'm sure you'll find lots of pics of him!

Thank you! (If you think he's pretty, look at his future wife, Mingo!)

So, you say your Mango has brown eyes. That means she has to be a hypo, not an amel. If you look up "sunglow" in the Cornsnake Morph Guide, it's defined as a "no white amel." So your mango is a hypo motley.

Thanks, Nanci! I'll have to look at her eyes more closely but I'm pretty sure they are brown. I haven't ordered my morph book yet. I'm too broke from buying the stuff for Mango. ;-) I see from Ian's Vivarium that hypo means reduced black, which is weird because neither Mango nor the snakes pictured under Hypo on that website have any black. Maybe they have black ventral checkers.

Naagas, I just saw your sunglow mot on another thread today. What a gorgeous snake! She does look a lot like Mango. After Mango has time to get used to her new digs, I'm going to have to take her out and look at her eyes more closely.
