mouse MITES???

has anyone dealt with MITES in mice? I got some mice recently from a pet mouse breeder (they don't sell feeders AT ALL) and these are some of the nastiest temper mice I have ever seen. I've NEVER been bitten by a mouse like this before. But, back to the question, ever since I got these mice I have been itching. And I feel crawling things on my arms. I've dealt with dogs with mites as well as a pot-bellied pig, and I had the same sensations. I've NEVER had this sensation when handling mice before. It does itch and I do feel crawling. I accept that this could be a coincidence and maybe I've just got an allergy to a new bedding or something, but if these things have mites then I need to treat them (probably all of my mice now). From what I've read online, mouse mites don't always cause symptoms in the mice (such as hair loss or itching). How common are these things in mice? I've kept mice as pets since the early 80's and this is a first for me! I know that ivermectin is the recommended treatment, and I'm sure I can look up the dosages. I just want to know: how did you know your mice had mites??? THANKS!
