Mouthful of Mouse

CARattler40

got good knees?
This girl, Maize, turned a year old about a week ago, and is now weighing in at 221 grams. She's on adult mice now, and today was her day to pound another one. Here are a few shots I took while she ate:

I didn't see 'till I uploaded that picture that the mouse dragged in a few shards of aspen (from the mouse tank, the feeding tub was bare). They seem small enough that they'll pass through without trouble.

She's awesome, Carlos. I really like the the gold tones in her coloration. And 221g for a 12-month-old is impressive.

And yeah, be very careful with that substrate ingestion. In the wild, they only dine on smooth, clean surfaces, and the mice are always pristine. :grin01: ;)

Of course they are! I happen to have it from a good source that wild mice are properly served at 101.3* from crystal pedestal dishes with an etched leaf pattern. ... You have no idea how hard I have to work to compete with that! :roflmao:

She's gorgeous, Carlos. :wavey:

Mine really prefer it if I fillet the mouse and add a sprig of parsley for garnish. Do you know how hard it is to cut a pinkie into perfect steaks???

She's looking great Carlos! Love the pics, the teeth shot in that last one is awsome!
