Moving from California to Oregon...temperature changes???

Since I will be moving to Oregon in the summer, I am wondering if I need to buy a heating lamp. Currently, I only use the UTH and it's sufficient.

OMG your moving to Oregon that is awesome! Where abouts will you be moving too? and why might I ask are you moving? I am originally from So. Oregon but now I live in Central Oregon :D No you won't need a heat lamp, unless you plan on keeping your house cold in the winter time lol. I keep my apartment in the 70's and the snakes have UTH's and it works perfectly :D

Well

I would say,:) just as we have to adapt to the changes I imagine the snakes may too,I would maybe hold off feeding for a couple of weeks. That way they will have time to adjust to there new home. Good Luck...

Congrats for moving, you won't regret it! Your UTH will be fine up here, it does get a lot colder here in the winter than it does in Southern California but the outside temps are gonna depend a LOT on where in Oregon you are moving to - the elevation and whether you are east or west of the cascades is going to make a big difference in how cold it gets. in Eugene it only snows once or twice a year but we did get a dry freeze in Dec. with a week or so where the daytime highs were like 26. Brrr! But as said by Kelsie they will be fine inside a heated house.

Hey welcome to Oregon, you'll love it. Once you get used to the rain. Actually I live in So OR and when I had snakes I unplugged UTH in summer, just too hot here. I envy you Portland awesome.
