Moving into his new home

Hi guys and gals,

i just wondered if anyone could help me, does anyone know the best time to move a snake into his permanent home, from the incubater/box. my snow is about 6 months old and is 2 foot long, and i am thinking if its about time i put him into his viv......is there any thing i should take into consideration

Just make sure you have plenty of hides, in case the snake feels more exposed/less confident in the bigger space. I'd probably say to treat it like a 'new' snake again and give settling time before handling. I'm not sure, but maybe a couple of handfulls of aspen from the old setup might make the new one smell ok for the snake?

My 7month old snake moved to her new home last week, like diamonddil says, treat it again like a new snake, give it plenty of hides and give it a couple weeks before you expect the old behaviour to return, mine hasnt moved from the hide i put her for about 5 days now, not that ive seen anyway.
A feed or two may be refused so dont worry too much if this happens. Mine got her new viv and got moved up to fuzzies all at the same time so probably not very smart on my part but she took her feed, though not for about three hours!
Maybe set up the viv and do a couple days checking temps and humidity too before the move.
Hope all goes well!
