Where ever I put my UTH my snake seems to stay away from it constantly. Could it be possible that my snake just likes it better cold or is there something else 2 it?

First you need to make sure the UTH is not getting too hot for your sanek. It should be somewhere between 82-87*F. If it is hotter than that it could be dangerous and could be the reason the snake is staying away.

If it is the correct temp, then don't worry about it. The snakes are great at regulating their own body temps. My snakes rarely seem to use their UTH.

Yeah, its perfectly fine, if your snake gets cold it will go to the UTH. My snake sometimes stays in the cooler side for a couple days, then she'll go to the warmer side when it starts to get too cold :D

Good Luck!

Mine spend most of their time at the cool end, only venturing to the warm side when digesting, shedding or feeling a bit under the weather.

Don't sweat it. As long as the UTH is at the right temp (mid-high 80s), then the snake will be able to safely choose where to spend his time.

My mom is always so concerned when she pulls out my snakes and is like "Tesia! They're cold! It's too cold in your tank!"

...

"Mom, for the last time, I know, they're just on the cool side, they're perfectly capable of regulating their own body temperature, they just have to scootch over there. They know this. "

My parents are so cute how they freak out over my snakes. Especially my mom, who used to be afraid of them.

You could remind your Mom that a Corn Snake's ideal maximum temperature is lower than human body temperature. That means they're always likely to feel cool to us, unless they've been sitting on the warm side of the tank for some time.
