MY CORN SNAKE IS BRUISED

HELLO, JUST TODAY I WAS HANDLING MY CORN SNAKE WHEN I SAW THIS SLIGHT DARK SPOT NEAR THE END OF THE STOMACHE, BEFORE THE TAIL. IM REALLY WORRIED ABOUT THIS. I JUST GOT IT 4 DAYS AGO AND I DIDNT NOTICE TIL NOW. NOW THE BRUISE IS FAIRLY SMALL BUT SO IS THE SNAKE. I WANTED TO KNOW WHAT THIS COULD MEAN AND SHOULD I WORRY ABOUT IT

If the 'dark spot' moves towards the tail, and the tail lifts up..................a poop is probably on its way!

Lightly colored abdomens mean you can see into the snake. If the dark spot is new, it's probably material in the digestive tract. You'll soon be seeing the "bruise" outside the snake as waste matter. Don't worry about it - your baby's probably fine.
