Please ignore temps as I was going through the set up stage, temps all ok and bulb holder removed, additional digi thermometer on cool side. Heat from UTH under false floor.

I hope you like!

Yes Nanci,

'Pebbles' has moved in and is loving it, she loves it on the shelf burying under the leaves and its the first time my daughter has seen her drink. She seems a lot happier now she has room to roam, she is only a Oct '07 but 220g and about 3ft long.

This means i have an empty 10gallon viv which will soon have to be occupied!

Is it just me, or does it seem like people across the pond make the nicest vivs? That cage looks great! I really like the shelf.

:roflmao: Sorry I meant an '06. This new year lark takes me month to get used to.

LOL, I was thinking that maybe there had been revisions to the Munson Plan that added some steriod use! I think they have started testing for SGH (Snake Growth Hormones) at some of the shows on the East Coast so you better be careful. ;)

ooops, guess you don't have to worry about the East Coast thing huh? I will agree with Checkerbelly, you "old World" people do great when it comes to the vivs. Very nice!

That is the most beautiful setup that I have seen. Wow, it gives me lots of ideas, now that Yolanda is a big girl and I am ready to set her up to a much bigger tank. WOW......Thank you for some ideas:dancer::dancer:

That's fabulous! I've always liked the idea of second floors in vivs but could never figure out how to achieve it in mine (I'm not very DIY-minded!) :grin01: Good work!

Very nice viv! I know my snakes would love something like that..and it looks so natural to..Like a genuin forest floor :0)

Wow very nice. I really like the natural look. I do wonder how easy it is to clean though. Do you have the top shelf treated in some way? I have seen several people use leaves as decoration before and I like how it looks but I would worry about introducing potential parasites. Is there a way you can treat the leaves? Maybe I am being overly paranoid?

Thanks for the kind comments every body.

The shelf is made from the same material as the vivarium so it is easy to clean, i just tacked cork bark on the edge to retain the substrate and make the shelf look deeper and more natural.

The leaves are baked in metal foil (like Corn Noobie said) therefore eliminating any parasite risk.

You are all free to steal my ideas, patent pending though:)
